This resource guide is hosted as a public service to the transgender and gender non-conforming communities of New York State, as well as allies, family, and providers, by New York State LGBT Health & Human Services Network, a program of The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center.

This is a listing of local, statewide, and national resources. The New York State LGBT Health & Human Services Network does not have the capacity to research every listing for knowledge and sensitivity to transgender people. Therefore, we ask you to understand that we cannot be held legally responsible for your encounters with listed services, people and organizations.

Please know that we strive to be responsible in our choice of listings. We encourage your assistance to ensure that listings are up to date, accurate and appropriate. Please provide feedback on your experiences and offer suggestions for additions or deletions as needed!

Please note: Specific resources have been marked in order to indicate four categories:

  • 1 indicates resources that make explicit their financial accessibility (services are offered at a low cost, no cost, or on a sliding scale)
  • 2 indicates that services are offered in multiple languages
  • 3 indicates that services and resources are physically accessible (including physical disabilities, occasionally including deaf- and blind- accessible services)
  • 4 indicates services and resources that are explicitly geared toward people of color or specific ethnic groups

For the purpose of this resource guide, we have divided New York into the following regions:
